Status of Data Sets
There have been some problems with the FTP version of the SEAFLUX data set. Most of these problems have been fixed. If you encounter any problems or cannot access any of the data, please contact Randy Reeder (rreeder@cloud.colorado.edu) or Mat Rothstein (mrothste@monsoon.colorado.edu).
New satellite data sets: Surface radiation fluxes from ISCCP (provided by W. Rossow); the ISCCP and TOVs files are now nearly complete (provided by W. Rossow).
The SEAFLUX BAMS article has been submitted. A copy of the paper can be found on the seaflux website, references, at the top of the page. (References).
I'm very pleased with the way the paper turned out. Many thanks to all who contributed.
The next SEAFLUX meeting is scheduled for Feb 12-13, 2003, in conjunction with the AMS annual meeting and the 12th Conference on Interactions of the Sea and Atmosphere Feb 9-13, 2003 (abstracts due July 15, 2002). The location of the meeting is the Long Beach Convention Center, Long Beach, California. Further information can be obtained from the AMS website.
The GEWEX Radiation Panel (the WCRP group that oversees SEAFLUX) is meeting in Zurich July 31-Aug 2, 2002. I will present a progress report on SEAFLUX at this meeting. If you have a figure that you would like included in this presentation, please send it to me by July 18. Thanks for your input.
